This part is composed of the subject of this research which is "the assessment of the performance of Rwanda tea sector in agriculture industry" a case study of the tea head office (OCIR Tl-IE).

The research is about the tea sector in Rwanda, its performance from past to recent years, the problems that impact the sector and its beneficiaries in general. It looks at the sector from farm' level point of view, the processing level as well as the marketing level which is the final level. The research continue to compare Rwanda tea sector with the other tea growing countries like Kenya, Brazil, China, Indonesia and India and come up with the recommendation that need to be undertaken by different stakeholders to improve the sector in general. In an attempt to come with the sector performance, diverse literature from other researchers has been reviewed to assess if motivation and green leaf price factors are taken to be important private farmers and government owned factories to perform better and to derive lessons and application from OCIR Tl-IE. The literature reviewed depicts increasing prices of green leaf as way and process of helping tea stakeholders to work efficiently and effectively. as a function of motivation factor when treated with due consideration to promote employee satisfaction which automatically means better performance.
