AN EVALUATION OF THE NEED FOR ACCOUNTING RECORD IN A SMALL SCALE BUSINESS ENTERPRISE IN NIGERIA (A CASE OF STUDY EMAZ SUPERMARKET, SITUATED AT NO 106 OBA ADESIDA, ROAD AKURE)

 ABSTRACT

This project work is objectively designed to reflect the roles of small scale business to the growth and the development of the economy with a specific focus on Emaz Supermarket. The topic was chosen Evaluation of the need for accounting record in a small scale business enterprise in Nigeria. As regards to the instrument use in the study. The common instrument use in questionnaire. Thirty questionnaires were distributed. Primary and secondary dates were used in getting the necessary information needed for the study. In order to achieve the stated objectives the study used simple percentage and chi-squire(x2) method and established that Evaluation of the need for Accounting record in small scale book keeping, help to determine the profitability of a business concern and proper management of the business. It recommended that proper accounting system and book keeping should be in place for effective and efficient operation of small scale business.
