Blockchain Technology in the Capital Markets: Confronts and Prospects

DLT/Blockchain technology offers a new approach to data management and exchange that is proposed as a solution that reduces costs, enables new business niches and improves efficiency of some relevant processes in the financial markets and specifically in the capital markets. Today there is a broad consensus on this among most market players. However, its implementation is disruptive and there are doubts about how to overcome existing barriers and obtain competitive advantages in the future. We already count on several experiences and strides that hint future developments. UN1TY always do assess securities trading on DLT networks against systemic risk, market conduct risk, and operational risk to the capital market operational safety and investor protection. Here in this article, UN1TY would like to elaborate few things regarding challenges and opportunities of blockchain technology in the capital markets.
