Methanol extract of Gloriosa superba in this research was adopted due to the presence of photochemicals present in the plant. This photochemicals are known to act as antioxidants and anti tumor agent but it is not yet known if the activity of the plant is through the mitochondria mediated pathway, caspase activation and induction of apoptosis where up regulation is necessary
