This project is based on the design and construction of a Wireless Electronic Notice Board. It can be widely used to display latest information anywhere such as institutions, shop, place of worship and other places. This Wireless Electronic Notice Board will offer flexibility to user to control the information display within 50m to 200m range.
Similar works were reviewed and the draw backs of these projects were cited and their advantage also considered.
The design of the Wireless Electronic Notice Board consists of two modules; transmitter module and receiver module. There are five parts in the transmitter module which consists of keypad, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), Microcontroller, encoder and transmitter and four parts in the receiver module consisting of receiver, decoder, microcontroller, and LED dot matrix. The design of the receiver circuit was done implementing key components such as the RTC and the HEAT SENSOR. The circuit design also has a backup battery that comes up when the power from the mains goes off. Assembly language was used to program the microcontroller.
The various segments of the project were tested under different conditions, and the RF based editable LED display board performed satisfactorily, displaying the message being transmitted in a timely and orderly manner.
