Abstract:
Information Technology (IT) is expected to provide quality services to the employees at the time that the service is seriously needed but this is often not achieved in practice because accessing the services is still entangled with internal and external constraints. The main objective of this study is to determine whether the application of Information Technology offer satisfactory performance of employee in General Hospital Nasarawa. Data was collected using a well structure questionnaire which was analyzed using simple percentage and regression for the analysis of data with a population of 62 employees to elicit information. The findings of the study revealed a strong positive impact of IT on employee performance. The study therefore, concluded that IT assists employees of GHN in improving their performance. In light of these, the study recommended that constant training, re – orientation and workshop to guide employees on various usage of IT should be adequately looked into so as to overcome the problems faced by employees.
