Abstract

Organizations at all levels are rapidly becoming digitalized and transformed into contemporary forms of digital organizations (Zeike, et. al. 2019). Since the emergence of modern technologies such as the first digital computer and the lunch of the “World Wide Web”, more business and non-business organizations have become reliant on digital technologies to reach higher levels of efficiency and gain competitive advantage (Khan, 2016). The digitalization of organizations means that the leadership structures within the organizations must equally be transformed to reflect a digitalized makeup. Managers and leaders must learn and demonstrate the necessary digital leadership attributes and skills that will enable them to actively direct and manage teams in digital environments.According to John Chambers, Cisco " at least 40% of  businesses globally will die in the next 10 years if they fail to figure out to modify organizational structure to accommodate new and emerging technologies".The purpose of this work is to reiterate the importance of digital leadership as well as highlight my leadership  capabilities A personal development plan will also be developed to plot a future career development trajectory .
