Moringa is a plant that is native to the Sub-Himalaya areas of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. It is also grown in the tropics. The leaves, bark, flowers, seeds and roots are used to make medicine. Moringa can be added to drinks and foods. Moringa Oleifera is a rich source of vitamins, mineral and amino acids. Moringa is identified to have several health benefits; it improves cardiovascular health, supports brain health and improves overall body health and wellbeing. Moringa leaf powder has heart healthy benefits, particularly in blood lipid control, the prevention of plaque formation in the arteries and reduce cholesterol level; because of its antioxidant and neuroenhancement capabilities, moringa leaf is good for the brain; and moringa has antibacterial and antifungal properties that fights infections.
