The study, titled "Impact of Employee Motivation on Organizational Performance with a Focus on Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC)," aimed to examine the relationship between employee motivation and various performance outcomes at EEDC. Specifically, the research explored how non-financial rewards influence loan recovery, how job security affects customer satisfaction, and how increases in salaries and wages contribute to improved profitability.

A descriptive research design was adopted, and data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using chi-square statistical methods. The findings revealed a significant impact of employee motivation on organizational performance. The study highlighted that EEDC's use of motivation strategies positively influenced its employees' productivity. Additionally, the research showed that financial rewards enhance employee performance, leading to improved customer satisfaction with EEDC's services.

Based on these findings, the study recommended that management techniques such as praise, recognition, and assigning challenging tasks can further enhance employee performance. Improving these motivational strategies would not only boost employee satisfaction but also improve service quality and customer satisfaction. Moreover, the study emphasized the importance of a conducive working environment and reasonable compensation in motivating employees. Finally, the research suggested that management style plays a crucial role in influencing employee performance and should be carefully considered by organizations.
