ABSTRACT





 





The
purpose of this research is to

investigate into the impact of motivation on productivity of employees. This research was carried out in Ho Branch of Gemini Life
Insurance Company where 27 respondents made up of all employees were selected
to complete a questionnaire asking them to indicate the level of importance
attached to listed factors. At the end findings show that

representing 48.1% and 1 representing 3.7% are normally motivated by financial
and non-financial incentives respectively. Moreover, 13 of them representing
48.1% are motivated by both financial and non-financial incentives. The study
further revealed that
color:black" lang="EN-GB"> periodical increase in salary, existence
of job security in the company, effective promotion opportunities in the
organization and how the company recognize and acknowledge employees work has a
positive impact on their sale performance, however, good relationship with
co-workers does not seem to have any significant impact on sale performance. It
was however recommended that
color:black" lang="EN-GB">organization should ensure that their employees are well
remunerated in line with an economic environment. They should also employ
various types of incentives from time to time and from employee to employee.
