Novel clustering algorithm on population flow distribution and risk evaluation of coronavirus Oyekan Oluwatobi

Abstract

The emergent disease coronavirus (COVID-19) has raised global concern since its outbreak and official declaration by the world health organization (WHO) as a pandemic. Coronavirus is a respiratory illness that spreads through droplets and the incremental morbidity has raised concern. The coronavirus became a concern in Nigeria on February 27, 2020 when an Italian was reported as the index case in Lagos. Since the first outbreak, there have been several strategies and precautionary measures to ease the situation. Taking appropriate actions in timely manner can help overcome this pandemic; this paper focuses on proposing a novel clustering algorithm, a machine learning technique that will serve as a model for different states with active cases in order to enhance their sustainability efforts. The experimental findings using set of data that were collected, analyzed and presented gave estimated values that shows possible spread rate within a group center and between group to group zones. It presented electronic personalized passes for identification as one of the measures that could help in contact tracing for the population flow distribution
