Outsourcing Services And Service Delivery In Namutumba District Local Government

ABSTRACT

The study focused on outsourcing and service delivery in Namutumba District

Local Government. The objectives of the study were to identify the benefits of

outsourcing, the reasons for outsourcing, and challenges associated with

outsourcing in Namutumba District Local Government in Namutumba,

Uganda.

The research used a cross sectional survey design on the use of qualitative and

quantitative approaches that were adopted to establish the effects of

outsourcing services and service delivery and it was used for profiling, c;l.efining,

segmentation, estimating, predicting and examining associative relationship

cross sectional studies easily provide a quick snap short of what was going on

with the variables for the research problem.

The researcher used Slovene's formula in determining the sample size of which

was 36 which based on the confidence level of 95% and confidence in interval

of error.

The sampling technique used was the random sampling technique, where the

sampling procedure used stratified, random sampling and purposive sampling

were used.

In conclusion, according to the study, it was realized that there is a very weak relationship between procurement planning and service delivery at a rate of 0.096, and the study too recommended that the government should increase funding for the maintenance of community and feeder roads, Increase their investments in the agriculture since most of the natives and Ugandan communities mainly depend on agriculture for a living, and there is also need for an effective · procurement planning in the provision of service delivery by Namutumba District Local Government.
