Participatory Development And Pov Alleviation In Bududa Town Council Bududa Uganda

ABSTRUCT The study was carried out in Bududa Town Council, Bududa District with the focus on relevancies of Participatory Development to poverty alleviation. Therefore, chapter one gives the over view of the topic of the study in the background at International, Regional, National and finally at the Local context. However the general objectives of the study may include; analysis on the relevancies of Participatory Development to Poverty Alleviation in Bududa Town Council, however it was revealed that Participatory Development has lost its meaning to the local poor who are meant to be the beneficiaries apart from the well off who currently the active participants. it also gives the relevancies of the study as well as the scope which entirely covering land area, Bududa Town Council which is composed of seven wards! parishes of ( Nashula, Buwanabisi, Soweto, Buloli South and Buloli North, Shikhuyu A and Bunamutunyi A). The chapter two of the research attempts to show the literature review from the objectives and the research questions, this section also show the related studies with its gaps as defined by different authors and the journals.Chapter three majorly portrays the instruments and methods that were used during the survey, the survey sampled 60 respondents from the target population of 70 meaning the information was reliable, ethical and valid, for instance, the questionnaire was distributed to respondents for easy access of the first hand information. However the data collected was later analyzed and presented in the chapter four in pictorial presentation and tabular format. Data was analyzed and findings revealed on the different questions that were asked to the respondents and findings indicated that participatory development is very paramount to every community as far as poverty reduction is concerned and economic development. Lastly, the chapter five intends to conclude, summarize the findings and finally racommends Conclusively, the researcher recommends that there should be promotion of Participatory Developments in order to realize poverty free economies
