Problem Associated With the Management of low Income Residential Housing Estate (A Case Study of Olofa Housing Estate Offa)

SYNOPSIS

Housing as a form of property investment required proper management and maintenance in order to ensure a better – standard of living. The inadequacy of good management can however resulted to serious problems that could redness estate life cycle.

Management strategies in this respect are meant to be objectives, plans and policies carefully set up to ensure or to achieve a desirable result. In the course of management; contrary of general belief, management entails more than mere rents collection.

It thus involves finding tenants, arranging, preparing leases, then dealing with the maintenance weather for a landlord or tenants account.

In this research work, effort would be examine the existing management and maintenance procedure of housing estates with a focus on Olofa housing estate and to look into the management problems that effect the living standard of the inhabitant of case study.

The dissertation also looks into the effective measures that should be taken to ensure the housing units provided for the tenant/inhabitant are well managed and preserve to enhance their aesthetic and capital value.
