PROFITABILITY AS A TOOL FOR PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL OF AN ORGANIZATION.(A CASE STUDY OF TANTALIZERS PLC ADO - EKITI BRANCH)

 ABSTRACT

This study was undertaken to find out the relevance of profitability to business performance and also to provide means by which profit can be maximized. It investigated the techniques put in place by an organization to maximize profit and recommended ways by which improvement could be made. A sample of thirty personnel were drawn from the population for field survey. Data collected from respondents through questionnaires, observation and interview were analyzed using applicable statistical analytical method. Frequency distribution table, percentage table and chi — square test method were used to analyze responses to some question that had direct relationship with the subject matter of the study. After testing the hypothesis question, The final result says there is correlation between profitability and the service rendered to customers and also employers and employee relationship have significant impact on the company’s profit. Having carried out detail analysis, it was observed that improving on the capital employed ratio and with all the findings in the research work and the 
recommendation , Tantalizers plc Ado — Ekiti will be able to maintain effective profitability standard.
