Research Method on Safety Issues (Field Work)

ABSTRACT

This paper is geared towards identifying the various research methods used to find out the safety issues in the workplaces. It details the safety issues, ways it is mitigated, eliminated or reduced in workplaces. This work increases awareness for the handling of safety issues. Chapter one familiarizes readers with concepts used in this study. Chapter two records details of common safety issues encountered in the workplace. The rest of the paper explains the best methods and reactions for handling safety issues.
Safety is the freedom of harm, injury, damage, and accident. Safety at work remains an issue paramount in every organization. Statistics report an alarming rate of injuries in the workplace. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 3.7 million people in the United States were injured in non-fatal workplace accidents in 2008. According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), a total of 137 workers were killed at work in Great Britain in 2016/17. Although this represents a reduction of 10 fatalities from 2015/16, this study aims to further decrement the stats as the importance of life cannot be overemphasized.
