Majorly, the world has experienced and is experiencing several outbreaks of infectious diseases that has resulted into an epidemic. The call for proper evaluation and optimal control strategies for such outbreaks is of topmost priority and also reduction or eradication of such infectious disease is paramount. Mathematical models have been developed to this effect to determine, evaluate, predict the spread and ascertain any future effect of such infectious diseases. Our main focus will be mainly to apply the knowledge of co-infection of various epidemiological outbreaks of disease to determine the co-infection of three epidemiological diseases in the world today causing major threats in major continents of the world. It would be profitable to mathematically explain the co-infection of three flavivirus causing major epidemic outbreaks. This is why I have decided to discuss the co-infection of dengue virus (DENV), chikungunya virus (CHIKV) and zika virus (ZIKV). Meanwhile, we approach this aspect with non-linear differential equations to explain the co-infection of these three viruses. We also consider the effect of controlling one disease will have on the other two and the effect of controlling two diseases that will have on the last one.
