ABSTRACT The study aimed at examining the role of Save the Children International in the improvement of children’s welfare in Kasese district as the case study. The objectives of the study were; to establish different activates undertaken by Save the Children International, to find out the impact of save the children organizations have improved the welfare children in Kasese district, to find out the challenges faced by the Save the Children International in the improvement of children’s welfare and to identify the solutions to the challenges that limit Save the Children International in the improvement of children’s welfare in Kasese district. The research design was a case study that used Both Qualitative and Quantitative methods collected data from respondents. Qualitative method is research subjective based on opinion and perception, it is collected so as to formulate a better understanding of the problem and explores attitude, behavioi- and experience through interviews. Quantitative method was specifically numerical values and hence objective through the use of large scale survey research. The study was conducted in Kasese district. The research population considered different age groups and gender categories of respondents ranging from 17-30, 3 1 -40, 41-50, and then 51 and above with both males and females, The study population was regarded to be viable because they are found productive enough to offer the data required as they greatly attached to the protection and welfare of children. From the findings 56.7% of the respondents strongly agreed that Save the Children International helps in addressing the worst poverty through a massive social grants system. The Save the Children International have put in much effort to promote the welfare of children. Also, the findings shows that 33% of the respondent strongly agreed that Save the Children International s are critical actors in the advancement of universal values around human and children’s rights. The majority of the respondents which is 32% disagreed, 1 8 strongly disagreed, and only 17% agreed. This implied that, child welfare services should be available to all children regardless of their immigration status or status of their parents. Immigrant children and children from migrant families who involved in the child protection must be offered with services that will address their needs for safety permanency and wellbeing. The researcher recommends further studies to be cai’ned out on examining the extent to which save the children as a Save the Children International can improve the welfare of children.
