SEISMIC TIME-LAPSE RESERVOIR MONITORING

Time lapse seismic which geophysicists

often abbreviate to four dimensional (4-D) seismic is a geophysical technique

which involves simply repeating a series of 3-D seismic survey over time such

that the fourth dimension is in “Calendar Time”. This gives it the ability to

image fluid flow in a well volume.
