ABSTRACT 1is study determines "The contribution ofNGOs on Family Welfare: A case study ofFram;;ois ,vier Bagnoud (FXB) Nyarugenge District-Rwanda". The purpose of the study was to examine : contribution ofFXB in family welfare in Nyarugenge District-Rwanda. This study employed ase study design to identify the contribution of FXB on beneficiaries' welfare. Questionnaire I stratified method were used to obtain data. Frequency and percentages mere the statistical ttment were utilized. achieve objectives of the study and answer research questions, a stratified method was used to 1ple the target population which consisted ofFXB's beneficiaries. Primary data was collected 1g a semi-structured questionnaire, and secondary data was gathered from books, written umentary and reports main! y from the internet. Data were analyzed using frequency and :entage. findings revealed that the main FXB' s beneficiaries consist mainly of adult women aged 'e 26 years. It was also observed that being HfV positive and poor were other criteria. It lied therefore that FXB plays an important role in ensuring family welfare. This is done by tg people money to start businesses, from which profits generated are used to for self inability. The result of this study revealed that very few people attended vocational training ed by FXB. However, almost all respondents manage to attend seminars and workshops on b. and nutrition issues, which really improved their living conditions. s concluded that strategies implemented by FXB in the field vary according to the social, ·al, economic and political scenarios present in different countries and particular locals : the programs are implemented. It was therefore recommended to respect gender balance :reasing the number of males among beneficiaries, to provide to them technical trainings to rt their skills and to be more adviser on health and nutritional issues. However, the findings nited to the case under study, therefore future studies can be build on these results to ete this picture.
