Unlocking the Barriers to Inclusive Education in Nigeria

Abstract

The paper focused on emerging issues surrounding inclusive educational practice vis-à-vis the availability of the wherewithal or apparatus to make it a reality in Nigeria. Inclusive education within the scope of this paper was seen as an educational idea whose main aim is geared towards ensuring that equal educational opportunities and delivery is given to every learner irrespective of gender, sex, disabilities and so on. The paper, however, specifically advanced some measures and strategies that could be put in place so as to achieve the aims embedded in the implementation and practice of inclusive education in our country, Nigeria.
