It was found out that most of the people in this community are employed in hotels to work as waiters, cleaners, security personnel among others, people supply food materials to the tourists and tourism enterprises to earn a living. They supply fast foods and local food stuffs to people that come to the park as tourists. It was found out that people are facing a number of challenges while trying to survive in Murchison including land conflicts caused by displacements during park expansion. Population structures, congestion, modification of the consumption patterns, health problem, land use conflicts, segregation, crime rate increase like robbery and others at large are to be the challenges associated socially between tourism and community livelihood It is concluded that most of the people in this community are employed in hotels to work as waiters, cleaners, security personnel, others work as tour guides. Tourism development plays a great role towards community livelihoods.
