Outreach Program and Justice in Selected Public Institutions in Kigali-Rwanda

ABSTRACT The study is entitled Outreach Program and justice in selected public institutions in Kigali Rwanda. The research was guided by four objectives: To establish the profile of respondents in terms of Age, Gender, Educational level and Administrative position, to determine the level of outreach Program in selected public and private institution in Kigali Rwanda; to determine the level of justice in public institution in Rwanda and finally to establish the relationship between Outreach Program and justice in selected Public institution in Kigali Rwanda. The research followed a descriptive correlation survey design. Primary data was collected using self administered questionnaires issued to the respondents. Data was collected using a sample of 150 from a population of 240 in selected public institution in Kigali Rwanda. The findings disclosed a positive and significant relationship between Outreach Program and justice in public institutions in Rwanda. Thus the study recommends the Government of Rwanda should in partnership with the Office of Ombudsman endeavor to gear their efforts and control all public officials concerned by outreach Program so that the numbers complaints of citizens can be reduced. Rwanda should take the lead and sensitize other EAC Countries to embark on the process Outreach Program. Researchers suggest the government to give more power to the Office of the government in order to solve citizen’s complaints in all districts. Preventing and Fighting Injustice Unit should be given more than two days while investigating on field, Controlling 5 Districts per one officer it is not easy, even impossible at least one officer should be given 3 Districts in order to perform very well.
