This study therefore examines the public transport and basic need satisfaction in Lagos metropolis. Economic infrastructure in developed countries and in both rural and urban areas of Nigeria, little or no research has been done to investigate the of level public transport satisfaction in Lagos State . Consequently, this study is important as it will provide the required insight to the level of public transport to BRT transport on one hand and the relationship between accessibility level and utilization of BRT services in the Lagos metropolis on the other hand.
One of the objectives of this research is to evaluate satisfaction of public transport scheduling that determines rate and quantity of Buses on a route. Basic correlation coefficient was adopted, using variables that were presumed to have influenced on bus and drivers scheduling. These dependent variables include: travel time; number of bus-stops; volume of passengers; frequency of the drivers on the route; turnover of fares on the route; familiarization of the driver on the route; status of the buses in terms of their newness or faultiness; route structure (in terms of route in public transportation).
