THE IMPACT OF STRESS MANAGEMENT ON THE PERFORMANCE OF AN OFFICE MANAGER

ABSTRACT

The main focus of this, study is to find out the effect of stress management on the performance in Nestle Nigeria Plc. Effort has been made to evaluate the existing stress management policies in Nestle Nigeria Plc, with a view to examine the effect of stress on employees performance increase and to identify the variables that are directly or indirectly responsible for employee's performance. In making these study possible, primary and secondary data was used to generate information from respondents which is put at 150. The research designed opted for was descriptive research method. Simple percentage method was used to analyze the questionnaire; Karl Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient was used to test the formulated hypotheses. Findings revealed from the study that stress has effect on employee's performance negatively. It was concluded that proper utilization of time enhances the organizational performance. It was recommended that working environment of workers need to be improved upon in order to afford the workers coping and adjusting to the pressure that tends to emanate from the jobs.
